Hi and welcome to JustAnswer, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, are you then considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I will consider either DIY or a reasonable relacement part if service is avaiable in the Plano TX area.
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I do not want remote connection as that will not help with this issue. I need to know how to gt the replacement part and instructions on installing it.

Thank you for your kind understanding of automated-systems / machine-generated followups, ads & offers.

There are four (4) major concerns with a DIY particularly with a Canon PIXMA iP6310D OM aside from just being messy:

  • everything must be removed as the ink absorbers are at the very bottom;
  • replacements ink absorbers are only available from Canon who provides them to authorized Service Centers only;
  • because the chassis, platen and other parts have to be removed, it would require alignment after assembly;
  • resetting the ink absorber counter would need a software resetter (purchased separately).

Or would contact information to authorized Canon Service Centers in Plano TX be preferred.

Please post back how you would want to approach this and/or should additional information be needed.
