I have a brother MFC-8810DW. When I try to print, it stops

Customer Question

I have a brother MFC-8810DW. When I try to print, it stops after one page and says "out of memory"
JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: again, brother MFC-8810DW. About 3 years old
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac, Sierra
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I updated the firmware before this started. I was having trouble with my printer not connecting to my computer.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nope

I do not use the machine for faxes. It is connected to my computer via wifi.

Thanks, ***** ***** know how to use google. You copied this off the brother side word for word. I already tried that and it did not solve the problem.
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
The printer has been able to handle files of much higher quality in the past. I'm concerned that this is a more serious problem.

Did you try to change the settings to print directly to the printer?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Sorry, what do you mean by print directly. I am trying to print a PDF file from the mac PDF program preview.
Expert:  PC_Wizzard replied 8 months ago.

Is this only happening from PDF?

It might be your PDF reader

Please try Foxit reader
