I have an HP Pavilion laptop which is not communication with my Brother-brand printer, even though this printer is listed as default printer. om the laptop.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your HP is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: I think the laptop is about 3 years old. I don't see a model number on the laptop - where should I be looking?
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC Windows 10
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: About two weeks...I don't remember any incident just before the incident took place

Run the downloaded program to install your printer again.
