I am setting up my mx 922 and I am getting an error 6000

Customer Question

Hello, I am setting up my mx 922 and I am getting an error 6000 code
JA: Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? And what is the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: Yes, the error code switches between 6000 and 6001 and it is a Prixma MX922
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: I havent even gotten that far. I'm doing the initial set up but it will be from a Mac
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I plugged in the printer for the first time and forgot to open the tray and got the 6001 code. then proceeded to insert all of the ink cartridges and they all had lights. Then I closed everything and got the 3min wait screen and the 6000 error code just popped up
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, thank you

Error 6000 means that something is preventing the printer carriage from moving.

Have you removed all of the internal packing and tape?

Are the ink cartridges securely fitted?

Can you try removing the ink cartridges and firmly re-inserting them again?
