How do I fax on my Cannon MX472
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: About 3 yrs.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC not sure of OS
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I am trying to send fax with printer and now with computer.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have sent fax with printer before.

Hello my name is ***** ***** I'll be happy to help you with this issue today. You should be able to fax directly from the printer by placing the page(s) you want to fax in the feeder, select fax, and dial the number on the number pad. Just make sure the phone cable is plugged into the printer.

First, you need a phone line and connect it to the fax. Then you need to press FAX icon button, enter the phone number including 1, like*********** then press the Black button and it should start.
