I have a HL1870N - fairly old
JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: I see HL - 18 2002
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: MAC 0S 10/6/8
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I have been running heavy volumn lasy few days - says replace fuser

Hi there and welcome

You can replace it yourself if you are technically a bit capable and can dismantle the printer.

The unit you can purchase from here


The Fuser unit is to the back of the printer where the paper comes out, so you would need to remove the cover

But in my experience, with the cost or printers these days and the good possibility due to the age / use of the printer, it is better to purchase a replacement as the long term costs generally outweigh fixing it yourself.
