Are you on Windows or Macintosh?

Thanks

The printer is connected to a Mac. I tunnel from the MAC to my work PC (using Remote Desktop App). Most of my printing is from my PC and transfers back to the printer through this connection.I haven't always had this problem. It has been happening for about 6 months now.

Hi

I can help you in it.

OK
Expert:  Tech_Buddy replied 9 months ago.

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

Also wanted to know if it is printing light or some colors are missing. Because there is very little difference in both of them and at times they appears same.

Also go to this link and see if the tonner save mode is not on. If it is ON , You should Off it and then try to print.

Should I perform the cleaning from the MAC where the prnter is connected? If so, I don't understand how to get to 'properties' menu.

No, Try this from your Windows PC and see it is fixing the problem .

Did that help. ?

There is one more setting which can cause this problem. Check if this setting in the printer is proper. I have attached the screen shot of it.
