It is plugged in and was working fine up until a few days ago when the on light wouldn't go on
JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: It is a year old. MG5522
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC. i don't know what an OS is
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: A week before there was a paper jam and I fixed it as I was directed to by the instructions on the computer
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you are having, I will do my best to help you resolve it.

Lets try this first. Open the Printer like you were going to replace the ink catridges..Can you get to them to emove the ink cartridges.. If so, remove them.

Then, unplug the power cord from the back of the machine.

Then, unplug it from the wall. Then, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Then, plug the printer back in, connect the power cord to the back of the printer, and then try to turn it on again.

What happens, do any lights come on? Does it make any noise?
