My MP810 won't print in black ink.
JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: Cannon MP810 Pixma. It's at least 5-8 years old.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: PC. Windows 10. But I updated a while ago and this issue is new. I just put in a new PGI5BK cartrige, but it wasn't working before that either.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: A couple of weeks. Nothing out of the ordinary. The PGBK cartridge was low, I just thought maybe it was out of ink. We I do the test print, the PBGK line doesn't even show up on the paper.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just make sure I can use a PGI5BK cartridge in my printer.

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.
