I have a Canon MP 560 and when I try to copy or print from

Customer Question

I have a Canon MP 560 and when I try to copy or print from my computer I get a message that says Printer error consult manual but the manuals I find on line are no help. Also if I try to clean nozzles or perform maintenance I get the same message
JA: Has your Canon done this before? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Never done this before and it is over 5 years old I would guess
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac test operating system
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It started after trying to print a download from the NYC bar association that allowed you to type directly into their form.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not that I can think off

Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.

What is the specific error code/number? For example B200, C000, etc.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
There is no number but how strange it started printing again!

That is quite odd, though temporary firmware glitches do happen.

If the issue returns, try to look for a code number at the top of the screen, and get back in touch if needed.
