JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: epson et 2550 - less than a year old
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: pc windows xp
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: make that windows 7 - my problem is the s-l-o-w speed in scanning and printing. I'm having my computer hard wired today and sure wish I could hard wire this printer ... and to hell with internet connection
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?

Hi there and welcome

What you do is connect to the printer via USB, so you use a USB cable such as this

Once connected, you go to Start, Printers.

Right click the printer, go to printer properties.

Then click on ports, and set it to USB

Once done, click ok and it is then working hardwired.

If you have any problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Else if you can take a second to rate my service by clicking one of the stars at the top of the screen then submit, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
