This occurs if the receiving end of the printer where the stapler is inserted does not make a full connection. Does it look and feel as though the stapler attachment is fully inserted and locked in place?

I will be standing by, looking forward to your response.

Thank you,

May I ask what your last statement means?

It is fully seated, you had it working, and there is no play.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
it means I believe it is attached correctly

Is it possible that the metal leads on the printer's end are corroded at all?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I sent the part back to the vendor who said it worked fine on another printer and sent it back to me. as I said it appears to sitting was working and just stopped. is there a way to test if the current is working at the connection on the printer?
Expert:  Jason Jones replied 9 months ago.

It sounds like the issue is on the printer's end. You may need to bring it into a repair shop nearby.
