I have an error code 230.31 without having actually a jam.

Hello, I have an error code 230.31 without having actually a jam. The model number of the printer is C540n.
JA: Just to clarify, have you double-checked the code? And what is the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: What do you exactly mean with "double-check"? As far as I understand, you want to know if it is this type of error, right? So I can say, it is everytime the same error which is also displayed. The printer is a Lexmark C540n, or can I find another model number elsewhere?
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: It is a Mac with OS X 10.7.5.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It is an issue nearly since I own this printer, though for several years, but I do print very rarely, but each time I want to print, it takes me long time to eliminate the non-existing paper jam. Before this message I started the printer, nothing else happened before.
