My printer is flashing "printer error" and telling me to

Customer Question

My printer is flashing "printer error" and telling me to turn it off. Now what do I do?
JA: What's the make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Mine is an epson WF3520--about 3-4 yrs. old, [\possibly a bit older.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: A Mac....I'm not computer savvy....I'm running whatever came with the computer.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Just happened about 3 days ago. This came up when I turned it on, but I did have a paper problem the last time I'd used the printer. Thought that was taken care of.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Never had a problem before, so have nothing I can think of to add.
