Thank you for your question. I am Shefin and I look forward to helping you with your issue today.

Please try the following.

Solution 1:

  • Unplug power supply
  • Wait 5 minutes
  • Plug back in.

Solution 2 :

  • Turn the printer off
  • Open cover as if you want to change an ink cartridge.
  • Turn power on and close cover while initializing

Solution 3:

  • Power off the printer
  • Press and hold power+cancel simultaneously
  • Hold on the power button and release cancel
  • Press cancel button 4 times,
  • Release both.

      Solution 4:

      • Check if there is any paper or objects jammed nside the printer.

      Solution 5:

      • Carefully clean the encoder strip.
      • It's located behind the carriage that runs all the way from right to left

There is a thin (1/4"wide) plastic strip running across the width in front of and below the drive belt. This is part of the optical encoder that tells the print-head where it is. If you look closely, there are fine black vertical lines on this strip. If the strip gets a piece of crud on it, you get an error during the start-up sequence. Gently clean this strip with a damp lint-free tissue. This also fixed a gap in the printing running lengthwise (not across the page like a clogged head).

      Solution 5:

      • Replace the scanner unit. The printer needs repair, and you have to contact a nearby repair shop.
