Customer Question

My printer sdays it is not connected to the network but my computer says it is. I am using a USB cable. What do I do?
JA: What's the exact make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: is about a year and a half old and is an HP ENVY 5660.
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: We have Windows 10 and it's a PC Laptop.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: We recently changed to a new router. However, after the change the printer worked fine. No idea why it suddenly is not working.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: When I go into the ASUS router it shows DIRECT-B4-HP ENVY 5660 SERIES, Secured. Under that it shows Network Settings WI-FI with power of 4 bars

Okay, so it sounds like your printer is connected to the WiFi, and you say you ALSO have it connected to the computer using a USB cable too?

Thats not really necessary to have it connected to both.

But, I suppose it wont hurt.

So, does the printer not print?

or sre you just concerned that the printer itself doesnt show it is connected?

Did you install the companion software that came with the printer?
