I have anHP computer hard drive with an HP monitor model

Customer Question

I have anHP computer hard drive with an HP monitor model W2271d and just now when I turn the power on it shows VGA and DVI not connected and then a message says "monitor going to sleep" and then the screen goes dark. I have checked the connecting cable and it appears to be in fine condition and securely connected at both ends????
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your HP is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: It is an HP110 Desktop PC, model # is 110-243w
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Hewlett Packard....I don't recall the Operating System....
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Last couple of days.
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Will he help me with my monitor going to sleep issue?

Hi there, I'm Tim, and I will be helping you. So the screen more or less just stopped working? Is the computer coming on (does it sound normal) Is there another computer in the house to test the monitor on?
