I am getting banding on my prints. The bands are symmetrical

Customer Question

I am getting banding on my prints. The bands are symmetrical evenly spaced.
JA: What's the make/model number of your printer? How old is it?
Customer: 2 years old WF-3530
JA: What kind of computer are you printing from (Mac or PC)? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: Mac air OS X 10.8.5
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: About 3 months. I really think it happened suddenly. I tried changing the cartridges and also updated the Epson software as prompted on my computer
JA: Anything else you want the printer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I guess that is it. It is frustrating. It used to print beautifully.

Hi there and welcome

I want you please to clean the print head by doing the following

Load a few sheets of plain paper in the cassette (or in cassette 1 if your product has two cassettes).
Press the home button, if necessary.
Select Setup, then press OK.
Select Maintenance, then press OK. You see this screen:

Select Head Cleaning, then press OK. You see this screen:

Press OK.
Select the cleaning cycle you want to run, then press one of the buttons.
Note: Use the nozzle check pattern to determine which colors need cleaning. You can save ink by cleaning only selected colors.
When the cleaning cycle is finished, you see a message on the screen.
Never turn off the product during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it.
Select Print nozzle check pattern, then press OK.
Press one of the diamonds buttons to confirm that the print head is clean.

Run this 3 times and tell me how after doing this, does it print?
