I have an Epson XP-310 and every time I try to print a page

Customer Question

Hi! I have an Epson XP-310 and every time I try to print a page the black ink streaks and the page is unreadable. I have tried cleaning the nozzle and replacing the black ink cartridges but neither of those seem to work.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Epson is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: XP-310 series, I'd say it's probably about 1 1/2 years old
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Changing out the black ink cartridge and cleaning the nozzle
JA: The printer expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: Just that if I change the ink to blue or red, the page prints out just fine. It's just a problem with the black ink streaking or fading to the point where I can't read the page

Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.

Are you using genuine epson cartridges, or generic/refilled ones?
Are the streaks vertical or horizontal on the page?
Front or back of the page?
