I reviewed your question and, to be honest, uninstalling and reinstalling SHOULD have fixed the problem.
There are factors that would affect the result, though.
When you uninstall the printer, you need to uninstall ALL Canon software from Programs and Features/Add Remove Programs.
Then, go into the control panel, under Printers and Devices, and remove said printer from there.
Then restart the computer. Make sure the printer is NOT plugged into the computer.
When the computer starts back up, do a fresh install. Plug the cable back in when the software tells you to.
