I was making several scans last night and tonight I tried to make a copy and the little screen came on saying "Printer error turn off and turn on if problem persists see manual.
I Tried that but it said to call you

I am sorry to know that you are facing problem with your Canon MX880 printer.

Power on the printer must be on and then you open the cover and remove the ink cartridges check of any paper jam or any foreign object which might prevent the carriage head to move on the printer rail.

Close the cover and unplug the power cable leave it off for 3 to 5 mins.

OK , I checked the cartridges (I had replaced one and must have loosened another, but it snapped back in place the power plug has been removed-waiting to replug
