Have 2 Canon MX922 3 in one Printers.
1st, Serial # ***** Model # ***** Purchased 3 Aug 2014
2nd, Serial # ***** Model # ***** Purchased 15 may 2016
Use both on 2 Dell Laptops
1st, Dell XPS15, Service Tag J8PBQF1, Running Windows Vista Home Premium OEM & Microsoft Office Professional 2007
2nd, Dell XPS17, Service Tag EH59U7G, Running Windows 8.1 OEM & Microsoft Office Professional 2010
Laptop to Printer connection is vie USB Cable.
Problem; Unable to print anything from both laptops when using font color black. Using Microsoft Office Word, Excel &
Power Point. If I use any other font color Red, Blue, Green, Etc. the printers will print it out in the font color. The printers will print out what is scanned in black or in color.
Things I have done;
1. Changed Black ink cartage in both printers.
2. Installed program “RunMsetup4.exe from setup cd-rom, Version U2.0, dated 2014.
3. On 1st printer have done head cleaning, deep head cleaning, head aligment.
4. Used a new USB Cable.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your question, but if you try to print in black, is it nonresponsive? Or does it output a blank page?
What about if you make a copy, direct from the glass, in black only mode, what happens there?
