What does unable to print 4F (error) mean on my brother MFC665CW printer?
My husband has been scanning items, and now I am unable to print any documents from my computer.

Hi, Please try this: Access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is ***** 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.

It has never had a problem until my husband decided to scan and send an email thru the Scan Area of the printer.My Menu will not let me dial the * numberMy work order number was 16289672-570 today 5-12-2026I just paid another $5. Plus the initial $23. Please give me a refund. Email me when you have refunded my money. ***@******.***

Please try this: * power off the MFC and unplug* press and hold the Menu button while plugging back in* release only when all the LED indicators are flashing* this is the Maintenance Mode* press 8, 0;* press Black (Start) a couple of times to display “purge: xxxx”;* press 2, 7, 8, 3* display should now be “purge:0000”* press the Stop/Exit button.* press 9, 9 to exit the maintenance mode.
