Have you tried rebooting the computer? Sometimes the print spooler service freezes and needs to be restarted.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Have tried that a couple of times , with printer disconnected to computer

do you get any error messages on the printer itself ? does it happen from every program or just from one particular program? have you tried re installing the printer since the time that you upgraded to windows 10? Is that when the problem started was when you upgraded ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
this problem was recent. the win 10 upgrade occurred in Jul/15. I have not tried the printer re-installation because I had to do it once while in the Win 8.1 mode

try a couple of different documents or something from another program just as a test is possible that rather than being a printer error the program you are printing from is set to do something funny with the second page. for instance telling it to print duplex when the printer does not have a duplex option might flag an error on the second page. if the problem was very recent you might also fix it by using a system restore to a time when it did work System restore instructions - windows 7 or 8 or 10hold the windows logo key down and hit Rtype rstrui.exe in the run box that comes up and hit enter select restore to an earlier date. Under the "suggested restore" which is usually not old enough to help is a link for "OTHER RESTORE POINTS"click that if the suggested ones are not BEFORE THE PROBLEM STARTEDchoose a date that is BEFORE you experienced the problemhit ok / restorethe computer will start to shut down a restoring settngs box will appear with a status barwhen it finishes your computer will restart with the same settings it had on the date you restored to. your data will not be affected. It is not perfect. But it fixes a lot of things.
