WF 3620. Cannot get yellow cartridge to print. Have already

Customer Question

WF 3620. Cannot get yellow cartridge to print. Have already cleaned heads multiple times, changed ink cartridge, updated software (Mac OX 10.11.3), aligned heads. Test page and printouts still show no yellow

Hi there and welcome

When you do the alignment, in the alignment page itself, yellow is not showing correct?

Very, very minimally: just 3, very faint, very short lines (about the length of a hyphen). This hasn't changed over the 4 head cleanings I have already done, using two different cartridges, both new.

The red and blue blocks aren't that great either, but they're much better than the yellow. What's odd is that repeated cleaning change nothing. You can overlay the printouts and the gaps are in the exact same places.

remove the ink cartridges and power off the printer then use a Q-Tip dabbed in alcohol (rubbing alcohol or something such as Vodka) then clean the inside of the yellow ink holder, especially at the bottom where the ink goes through. Try to also get on the underside and clean that as well.

Let it drive for 30 minutes, put the cartridges back in, turn on the printer and tell me how yellow then prints please.
