I will need to know the error message on the printer (and any accompanying number code) in ful and exactly, please. This printer series can have messages like

USB Memory Full

or

Memory Overflow

or others, which mean very different things.

If the error message is simply 'Memory full' or 'Memory is full' and no other indications, then is it hooked up to be a fax machine also? if so, check as to whether the paper is out, or other similar things that might prevent the machine from printing out what has been received into memory. This is a problem more typical of Brother-made machines, but it is worth checking.
