My printer has stopped working giving a support code 6000.

My printer has stopped working giving a support code 6000. It is a PIXMA MX922 with serial number ADRY61189. I have cancelled any documents, turned the printer off, unplugged, plugged back in and turned the printer on. Still the error message.
Of course this happened less than a month after the warranty has expired. Can you please help. If you need to contact me my number is(###) ###-#### I'm on the west coast.
