Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Do you mean you are able to copy, but you cannot print?

Do you have windows xp, vista, or 7, or 8, 10, or mac computer?

Is the issue with the Brother printer model HL-2240 or model DCP-7065DN?

- For the model HL-2240, please try the following fix to reset the drum:

Solution #1:

1. Turn off the Brother HL-2240 printer.

2. Open the printer's cover / lid (where you put in the drum / toner.)

3. Press and keep holding down the Go button keep it held while turning on the printer.

4. When the three lights light up, release the Go button.

5. Then press & hold the Go button again until the Ready light is lit.

6. Release the Go button and press the Go button again until all the lights are lit.

7. Close the cover, then check printing.

- If needed, here is another solution to reset the drum:

  1. Turn on the printer HL-2240.
  2. Open the printer's front cover / lid.
  3. Press and keep holding the Go button for 5 seconds or until all the LED lights light up.
  4. Release the Go button.
  5. Close the front cover, then check printing.

Solution #2:

- If it does not work, or if the toner light is on or if it says to replace toner / cartridge, please try the following:

1. Turn off the Brother HL-2240 printer.
2. Open the front cover of the printer.
3. Press and hold Go while turning on the printer. (Do not let release the Go button for now.)
4. When all 3 lights light up, release the Go button.
5. Press & release the Go button twice. (The Ready light should blink green each time you press the Go button)
6. All the lights should light up.
7. With all of the lights on, press and release the Go button 5 times (The Ready light should blink green each time you press the Go button)
8. The Error light will start blinking (Ignore this for now; it is expected.)
9. Close printer's cover and wait a bit. The printer will cycle through / re-initialize. Then the green Ready light will be on and is solid.
10. Then check printing.

- If the issue with with the model DCP-7065DN, please try the following to reset the drum:

1. Turn on the printer DCP-7065DN.

2. Open the printer's front cover.
3. Press the button Options or button Clear or button Clear/Back on printer.
4. Press the Up Arrow button.
5. When the printer's screen shows Accepted, then close the printer's front cover.
6. Check printing.

- If it does not work, or if it gives toner error / message, then please try the following:

  1. Open the printer DCP-7065DN's front door and remove the drum and the toner. Confirm that the printer's display is showing cover open.
  2. Press the Clear button, and confirm that the display shows Replace drum.
  3. Press the Start button, and confirm that the display is clear.
  4. Press the Down Arrow button, then quickly press the Up Arrow button, and confirm the display shows 00.
  5. Press the OK button, and confirm that the display shows Accepted, followed by a Cover open message.
  6. Install the drum and the toner, then close the front door. Then the display should show “please wait”. When the printer has warmed up, the error message should go away, and the normal standard display should show.
  7. Check printing.

Note: You have to do the key sequence / steps quickly or it would default back to the "Cover is open..." message. When you press START key, the screen should clear. Then when you press the DOWN ARROW key, a message "E0" should appear, then it will change to message code "00" when you press the UP ARROW key. Then when you press OK key, it should say "Accepted".

- If needed, please try:

1. Open the DCP-7065DN printer's front cover.

2. Press the Clear button. (or Clear/Back button.)

3. Press the Start button. (The screen should clear.)

4. Press the Down Arrow button.

5. Press the Up Arrow button.

; (When you press the Down Arrow button, then code "E0" should appear, and when you press the Up Arrow button, it will change to "00".

6. Press the OK button (it should say "Accepted" before.)

7. Close the printer's cover.

8. Check printing.
