Customer Question

Hi Shefin, My name is Toni. I have a Canon IPF8400 large format printer. I keep getting error message 03130031-2618 (or -2f50 sometimes). The printer usually has been printing very well and all of a sudden I get the message. Sometime shutting it off and back on helps, but only for one or two print runs. Then the error message again. I have been unable to find any info on the error code and what they mean. Any idea?

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

That error is said to be a voltage or controller board error. Or sometimes a printhead error. The information I get is not too specific. But one post says it is definitely the controller board (in that poster's case, anyway.)

Since you have already tried a power-Off reset, then perhaps

1. re-seating the printheads

2. checking power supply voltages live/under-load

3. re-seating the cable between main controller board and carriage relay board

might help.
