I have the Okidata C6000 printer
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Prior to the last thing I did, I had performed an update on something using that panel on the printer. I thought it was just updating the new drums and toner cartridges i had just installed.
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

You know how to do a drum reset?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have never been successful, because my screen only gets to a certain step, and I cannot complete the task.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can you give me instructions - perhaps I skipped a step.
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

Ok, please try this resetter. It is free to try once but cost there after...

Those instructions are not compatible with my printer, Okidata c6000. I am not familiar with "cut sheet mode".
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

Ok, wrong info. Thank you for letting me know... Hold a few moments please...

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thanks.
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

OK, this is a free utility from Okidata. It will allow you to see the printer's IP address.

ftp://ftp2.okidata.com/pub/drivers/PSV5814/Oki-PSVPE-4-0-5990-1.exe

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I found an IP address which is different from the one I found when I clicked on "properties" the first time (it began with 168...)
This newly download gave me a 222. IP address, and it says that the port is not open on that host, and for me to check the configuration...
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

OK, did you try to do a reset on each of the two addresses??

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No.
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

Please do... By the way what are the two IP Addresses that are showing for the printer???

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
192.168.1.66
255.255.255.255
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

The Valid IP address there is the 192.186.1.66 as the 255.255.255.255 is what is know as the subnet mask....

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I see another IP address above my network IP address for the same printer.
192.168.1.106
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

You may also try that one too.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.

Ok, I am here...

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Am I correct in performing the IPconfig/release?
Expert:  VanMagnus Systems replied 1 year ago.
