Hi there and welcome

The waste ink absorber is a small sponge like pad that sits under the ink cartridges to the far right inside the machine. It catches the ink that splatters when printing onto the page. You should be able to remove it from the ink cartridge access area. To clean it run it under warm water until no ink comes off do not use soap. Then wait for it to dry and put it back into the machine. After that you need to reset the counter.

1. Turn off the printer
2. Hold down the Resume/Cancel button (red triangle in the circle) and while holding it down press button POWER.
3. Let go of Resume/Cancel, continuing holding down POWER.
4. Press Resume/Cancel 2 times, holding down POWER, after which let go of all the buttons.
5. When the indicator is GREEN - press button Resume/Cancel 4 times!
6. Turn off the printer by pressing POWER.

the printer should then operate correctly.
