I have an Epson Photo RX 650 & are having problems scanning

Customer Question

Hi, I have an Epson Photo RX 650 & are having problems scanning negatives to my computer for storage, rather than in hard copy form. When scanned in the holder they show up as a series of very fine coloured dots. Can you assist me. Regards ***** *****ddy

Hi Gary,

If the scanned negatives are showing up as a series of fine coloured dots, then check all the settings and ensure nothing has changed. Also check for dust inside the scanner - use an air compressor to blow it out.

Test the scanner on a different computer.

If the problem persists then the scanner has a fault and will require a repair or replacement.
