Hi, My name is ***** ***** i will be assisting you

Let me know if you get any error code as well along with the error message

Expert:  Michelle replied 1 year ago.

please try the below steps first

please take out the print cartridge

unplug the power cord

wait for 2-3 minutes

plug the power cord back in

turn the unit on and reinsert the cartridiges

check for functionality

if error repeats try the below

Turn off printer by pressing the power button
press the Resume button and press Power button.
Keep holding down Power button and release Resume button
Press Resume button 2 times then release BOTH buttons
Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.

if still the error repeats, then the ink absorber will need to be replaced

ink absorber is a sponge pad that abosorbes excess ink and once full needs to be replaced to avoid the risk on ink spillage within the printer

turn off the unit....slide the cradle to one have a will be able to see a sponge

if the unit is within warranty cover, please contact canon to get this sponge replaced.

else if the unit is out of warranty, please take out the sponge, clean it with water...let it dry for few hours...then insert it back in...else you can contact a local repair store a get a new sponge and insert that one in and this error should get fixed
