Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

What specifically is the printer doing (or not doing)?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It is not printing, after I sent a document to it. I am trying again; will report back momentarily
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What setting am I supposed to have it on to print? It's currently on "copy" but that's probably not right.
Expert:  Nathan replied 1 year ago.

That does not matter. Copy/fax/scan modes initiated at the machine itself will be overidden by a print command.

If you send a print job, so long as the printer is properly installed and connected, it will print automatically.

Does it just not respond at all, or does it print a blank page?

How is the printer connected (usb, wifi, etc)?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Currently via connected via a connecting cord. It is not printing at all. It makes a few mechanical noises and then nothing happens. Will respond back in a few minutes; I have an interruption. Thanks.

Please be more specific - is the cord usb?

If you try to make a copy, directly from the glass, what happens there? Any error messages/codes on the printer?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This is what I was using to connect with. I was able to make a copy. (I tried connecting vs wi fi because I previously had problems with wi fi).
Expert:  Nathan replied 1 year ago.

If you had it connected by wifi before, then you can't just switch over to usb, the computer won't understand the connection change.

Go into your devices/printers folder, right click the epson, then Remove Device

Reboot the computer. During that time power the printer off also, and disconnect the usb cord from the computer.

Bookmark/favorite this page to get back to me after the reboot if needed.

Then go here:

Download and install the Drivers and Utilities Combo Package, when prompted choose local printer)

Plug usb back in, and turn printer on.

I'll try all that. Thanks. I am going to be away for about a half hour.

No problem, take your time. Let me know how it works out, when you have a chance.

I haven't been able to return to this task today; I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
