Clearly something has gone wrong with the ink installation/recognition process.

If it were another brand, you might press a button, but with a Canon machine, this sort of lockup requires that you turn Off the printer, unplug it too (from the power) and then leave it that way for about 1/2 hour (or overnight perhaps.)

Then plug it in to power again, and turn it On. See if it works then.

(Note: if you did not put in genuine OEM-original Canon cartridges, but 'compatible' or refilled cartridges, that might be the problem.)
