When I turn on the computer I immediately get a C000 error

Customer Question

When I turn on the computer I immediately get a C000 error message and I am told to turn the computer off and check the manual. There is no jam, I unplugged and re plugged the printer, I checked and reduced the paper load in the tray. The printer shows up on my computer so it is apparently on the network. I'm not sure what to do next.

there can be a few causes for this error.
As the first step
Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord and USB cable.
Remove paper from the automatic sheet feeder (in the back).
Gently pull jammed paper out, if any.
If paper is visible from the ASF, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly.
If paper is visible from the paper output slot, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly.
If the paper tears and a piece of that remains inside the printer, open the printer cover and remove the paper from inside the printer.
Check ASF with a bright light to check for obstructions. Remove any if found.
Open the rear cover to check if the paper is jammed.
Pull out the cassette and check if the paper is jammed inside the cassette area.
Load paper back into the ASF or cassette.
Reconnect the power cord, turn on the printer and confirm that the Alarm light is off. (If there was any jammed paper remaining in the printer, the paper may be automatically ejected.)
Tell me if you then still get the error please.
