open the cover

remove the cartridges

The Picture is different. We have a cover over the top of the printer head, do I unscrew it?

its an All-in-one printer.

dont do a copy paste

It uses the 02 cartridge

HP Cartridges 02, 363, 17, or 801

your printer doesnt have a removable printhead

Michelle :

the error is basically triggered by the print head sensor

Customer:

Can i fix that?

Michelle :

normally what we do is remove the print head using the latch and clean the copper contact points and reseat the head then it works fine in this case its a print head hardware failure.

Michelle :

one last thing we can try to get it working if the head gets power reset

Customer:

ok how do we do that?

Michelle :

unplug the power cable from the printer

Michelle :

and the usb cable as well

Customer:

done

Michelle :

wait for 2 mins

Michelle :

push and hold down the power button without connecting the power for 30 seconds

Customer:

Done

Michelle :

now move the print head manually to left and right

Michelle :

on the right it will be parked and will not move

Customer:

Printer head is locked in position

Michelle :

ok

Michelle :

now connect just the power cable

Customer:

ok

Michelle :

open the cover the head should move to the center

Customer:

It goes through the start up, the head moves back and forth accross to each side but there are sound as if it is in conflick with 'teeth'

Michelle :

if there is any obstruction in moving the print head remove the obstacle

Customer:

I cannot manually move the printer head but during the start up it seemed to move freely apart from the unusual noise, the error message is the same

Michelle :

dont move it manually

Customer:

ok

Michelle :

There would be some piece of paper, clips, paper sticker or something which might be stuck inside the printer and you are not able to access it.

Michelle :

turn off printer, then turn it upside down and shake it well for few times.

Customer:

thankyou I shall investigate in good light, Thank you for your help

Michelle :

If still not working then you need to open it up as much that you can access or see if something is really stuck

Michelle :

You can open up the printer and blow air in it use a compressed air.

Customer:

I have turned it up smaked it like a naughty child, so maybe tomorrow the compressed air and then dispare
