Dang! I don't have an option to setup HP wireless direct.

Hi John,

Yes sorry, just spotted that in this manual, top of pg 52 - 'The HP LaserJet Professional P1102w model does not support HP Direct Print.'

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01695231.pdf

However, it goes on to say that you can use Airprint, but you'll need the Printer connected to a network.

Richard

I have my 1102w turned on with its wifi icon lit. It's on usb from my desktop and the iPad sees and is connected to my wifi. I try the airprint stuff and no printer is detected.

Hi John,

Is you Ipad running IOS 4.2 or later?

Do you have a wireless router, which is creating a wireless network?

If so, can you disconnect the USB and print over wireless from your desktop?

Best Regards,

Richard

You have found my problem. It is the printer connection. Somehow its wireless feature is disabled. I need to work on that. Not your problem (yet.)

Hi John,

We're making progress. Keep me posted.
