Bob)Have a new computer. It sends print job to printer, but…

I have it hooked up via USB. My computer is a late model Apple,

laptop.

Robert, this is Bob again. I followed instructions. all off. Then to the

apple icon, preferences, printer. Then the computer automaticlly

installs it. sometimes a message comes up printer not ready.

The printer comes up in the "copy" mode and prints, but nothing on

the paper. (there was nothing in the copier plate of course). I try the

"pause" and "release" key, and others but nothing happens.

Evidently I am not doing something right. I am not an expert in

computer, so maybe I am not doing something. Please answer me again and tell me in detail what I should do.

ROBERT I am still waiting for a reply. I did what you instructed,

but I have had no success. This Mac has built in software for the

printer. And since I had tried to connect before. It kept the printer

model, etc. in it. It still does not print. I finally pushed "start" on the printer, but it was still in the "copy" mode, it printed with nothing on

the paper. There still seems to be no connection with the computer.

I have it hooked up with a USB.

Do you have something else that I can try.

This is Bob who worked with you yesterday. I worked into the night

trying to get the printer to print. No luck. The last thing I did, was to

download the latest version of the printer software. It ended by saying "successfully downloaded". But still no results.

Do you have anything new to offer? I still believe there is something

not set right in the printer. When I try to print the "copy mode" comes up. Then there is a symbol. (I Mentioned it in my first or second contact with you.) The symbol is a series of curved lines, similar to the area the windshield wiper uses. There is a red X over

the symbol. Maybe it is trying to tell us something.

Please let me hear from you. I am desperate.

Just had a phone call that someone is coming here to see me. I may not answer right back, but I will answer. I need you.

Thank you for answering me. I have just down loaded what you asked me to do . When finished, the word came up, "successfully installed".

It seems that is exactly what I did yesterday. It still does not print.

Please read above about the symbol that comes up: the curved lines

\with the red X over them. I feel that they are trying to tell us that something is wrong, but I don't know how to interpret it. Please keep

helping me.

are you there?, Do I need to leave my computer on tonight. Or do I need

to wait until tomorrow, and contact you again? My wife has a mental

loss, and is down with a broken hip. Therefore, I get started late in the mornings. I have to do the laundry, fix breakfast and everything else, so

I cannot start early. This is one reason I need my computer and my

printer.

I have finished the morning activities, so what do I do now? I am going to

leave my computer on, so you can take over. I suppose my printer should be left on also.

I will be doing other things, but I will be waiting to hear from you.

I go to church tomorrow, Then I have to take care of my wife. The care giver will be here. Then an appointment in the afternoon. I can't be around to do anything. Too many responsibilities here at home.

I thought if I leave my computer and printer turned on, there was something you could do. Do I have to be here when you are working on it? If not I guess we will have to wait until Monday.

Let me know the time and what I should do. Remember I have morning responsibilities here at home. So I will be late.

Would it be better if I took the laptop and printer to a local repair and get them to hook it up? Since I have to keep near my wife, and wanting to solve the problem quickly, I thought it would be better to do it on line.

Thank you for being so patient with me.

I was tied up all day Sunday and was late to everything. I did not even get my computer turned on.

I was desperate. No printer for several months. I had to get stuff out right away. So today (Monday), I took computer and printer to a local "Geek".

They fixed it in less than an hour, and I was on my way. It is a great burden lifted.

You were patient and kind to me and I appreciate your good attitude.

I just could not wait any longer. Thank you for what you have done.

I hope to see you later, for some\thing else is bound to come up.
