You will need to have the Access Point name and the Network key both in hand, in order to connect the printer to the wireless router.

Press the Setup button:

and use the < or the > button to select the Wireless LAN Setup. Then press OK.

Use the up or down button ^ or v to select Yes, then press OK.

When wireless is enabled, the wireless light will be blue:

Select 'Easy Setup', then press OK.

Select the access point name of your own router, then press OK.

When one of the shown screens is displayed, enter the Network Key for your router, and then press the OK button. Note that you must enter capitalized letters properly for it to work; character entry modes are switched between by pressing the * key.

Verify that the network key is properly entered, then press OK.

If 'Connected to the Access point' is displayed, press OK, and you will be returned to the Setup screen. That kind of completes the process.
If 'Failed to connect to the access point' appears, press the OK button, make sure the network key you have is correct, then enter it again, carefully.

When the process is over, press the Copy button to return to Copy/standby mode.

OK. I got that far from the printer manual. How do I enter the KeyPasword using capital letters with the numbers?? using the printer?
Expert:  Russell H. replied 5 years ago.
You need to (on the printer itself, NOT on the computer) select the access point name for your router, and press OK.

Then a screen (one of three used for entering alphanumeric data - letters and numbers) will appear. You can switch between the screens anytime you need to for the purpose of entering the characters/numbers correctly, by pressing the * key on the printer.

I have the network name as Myquest8759. Do I connect the modem to the laptop with ethernet line while doing this? Or connect the laptop to the printer while doing this? I entered the passphrase carefully several times but it still comes up not connecting.

The selection of the network name, to setup the printer to connect to wireless, is an operation performed on the printer solely at this stage. I can't emphasize that enough. It's all done on the printer.

Since I am not making progress with this case, I am Opting Out as is only proper.

If and when another Professional in this category takes up the case, you ought to receive a notification email.
