I cannot print from any internet websites. I can print from Word and Documents. For example, I could not print my receipt from Pay Pal for this transaction. Why?

Windows XP Professional
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click System.
  3. On the Environment tab, note the path for the TEMP variable in the User Variables for Name box. The default is SystemDrive:\Temp.
  4. Use Windows Explorer (my computer) to verify that the path you noted in step 3 exists. If it does not exist, create it.

When I click start the option for settings does not appear. The screen goes to "Set Program Access and Defaults." The screen then displays three options: 1. Microsoft Windows, 2. Non-Microsoft Windows, and 3. Custom. I am somewhat computer illiterate, so I will need more direction. Thanks

Second reply: Sorry that I was so long in replying. I was busy yesterday and did not check my e-mail until today. Also, I have found that I cannot print my e-mail messages. This is what pops up.

OK, but let me ask you: what e-mail program are you using, when this error message comes up?

And also, as for dimmusacio's instructions - if Settings doesn't appear when you click Start, just go directly to Control Panel, and follow the instructions he gave you from there. Try it again, please.

Also it might help if you would tell us, what browser software are you using? (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc) Thanks.

outlook express, put I cannot print anything that comes via internet.

Try this:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

I could not find what you were talking about. I finally used restore system to previous date to correct problem. You were talking over my head, but thanks for trying, here is your fee.
And thanks for succeeding. I won't flag this case closed, though... if your system goes back to not working, then just post again here, and I'll try further things - hopefully comprehensible ones.
