I'm not sure if an expert on Pre-Calculus is the right person to ask. But I know you had to have gone through some Geometry courses so hopefully, you can still help me. I'm trying to figure out the drop on a metal roof using the measurements on some blueprints. I know how to do this onsite just out of practice on paper. I have a triangle and the measurements of all three sides. They are 25' x 19' x 17.5'. Drawl or picture a triangle with 19' running up and down. The 17'5 running right to left with the 19' side on the right side. Then, of course, the 25' on top. The problem is finding out how much smaller a panel, running with the 19' side, will get? The panels being 3' wide.
