7x^2-2x-3=0

X^2-2x-7=0

X^2+5=0

(x-2)(2x+6)=7

Please can you give me a simple explanation so I can use it on other similar questions

A block of cheese is a prism. It's vertical height is 5cm, it's horizontal width is 4cm and it is 5cm deep. Similar blocks are to be melted and poured into a half litre mould. How many blocks of cheese will be needed?
