Please ellaborate to the following...

Please ellaborate to the following discussion..."A rational expression is a fraction where the numerator and/or denominator are polynomials. When solving and working with rational expressions, there is an unwritten rule that needs to be remembered. We must always be mindful of the fact that x is not divisible by zero. This rule is the same for numbers and rational expressions. The value of the denominator cannot be zero because you cannot divide by zero. However, the numerator can be zero. This is demonstrated in the example below:

3x/(x2-16)

X2 – 16 = 0

X2 = 16

X = 4 or x= -4

X=4 and x=-4 are the values in the domain of f{x}=3x

x2-16

You need to be careful of any values that try to make your denominator equal zero. It cannot be done. When you set the denominator equal to zero and solve for x, your expression becomes undefined, thus, it is not able to be solved. "

Thank you in advance for your help! I really like how you explain your answers in detail!! : )
