1 i) Explain why the graph of the function f(x) = (3x – pie) cos(1/2 x) lies below the x-axis for –pie < x < 1/3 pie and above the x –axis for 1/3 pie < x < pie

Use the fact to find the area enclosed by the graph and the x-axis between x = -pie and x = pie answer to 4 decimal places.

ii) Find the volume of the solid of revolution obtained when the graph of f(x) = tan x, from x = -1/6 pie to x = 1/3 pie answer to 4 decimal places.
