Customer Question

I have a 1998 Boxster and the rear cabin flooded and caused the central locking unit to stop working. I need to open the rear trunk but the PO removed the emergency cable release. It has a mechanical cable that goes to the release levers but those are locked. I need to find where I can apply power to release the levers so I can release the rear trunk. The central locking unit is now disconnected from the plugs
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has this ever happened before?
Customer: 94000, nope
JA: Are you fixing your Boxster yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, I jumped fuse 3c, tried to apply power to pin 34 and 14. Back bumper is off. No emergency cable. seats are out. Fuse box is OK
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
