Working on a 2002 Porsche Boxster and the interior dome light/map lights , as well as both front and rear trunk lights don't work.
JA: Have you checked the vehicle's manual for this?
Customer: Yes
JA: Are you fixing your Boxster yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes i am, checked all fuses and all are good
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Will the lights work directly if you use the switches with the ignition to ON? and just not work when opening the doors?

or are you saying that they don't work period? not even by the switch when ignition is on?

Because if you can work the lights manually with the switch then it somehow reverted to pre-delivery mode where it won't turn the lights on automatically. This takes about a minute with PIWIS to reprogram the "new car delivery" mode.

If that's not the case then double check the fuses as the most likely culprit.

Otherwise any short in the system can prevent all the lights from functioning as well.
