The radio may need a code to unlock it and allow it to work after losing battery power but that doesn't appear to be the case based on your post. It sounds as if the radio doesn't work at all. If that's the case then the problem is either the radio itself or a loss of power or ground to it.

The first thing that should be done is check fuses. If fuses are ok then the radio would need to be removed to test it's powers and grounds, and if ok then the radio can be condemned. It isn't uncommon for a radio to fail after a jump start or battery disconnect.
