CEL light on. Checked with OBDII scanner and no error codes

Customer Question

CEL light on. Checked for codes with OBDII scanner and no error codes found?

There are some codes that will not show up on a generic scanner. This is a common issue with German and Swedish cars that are sold here in the United States.

You may have to send the vehicle to a Porsche dealership or to a Volkswagen dealer at the very least to retrieve a manufacturer specific code.

Does the vehicle run smoothly, or is anything out of the ordinary? Is the light steady or flashing?
