I have 2008 Porsche Cayenne Base with the factory tow

Customer Question

I have 2008 Porsche Cayenne Base with the factory tow package. I had to add the Pollack 7 pin connector. when I connect my trailer (small 4 x 6 wells cargo) and connect the trailer. I do not get any lights or signals. My 7 pin connector has led lights to show connection and they just flash rapidly. Please Advise

It's typical for a trailer, which doesn't get used much, to have corroded or damaged wiring. This could be cutting out the system, or causing a short. Does your connector LED lights illuminate to show if circuits are active (like when brakes are depressed, etc?)
